Why I love my bike
I have fond memories of riding my bike from an early age. From my first 2 wheel bike, to the first time I saw the Tour de White Rock in my home town. Once I experienced that I was hooked! I wanted to go fast. Age 12 I paid for half of my fist road bike. ever since then I have tried mountain biking, road racing, track cycling and BMX. I love bikes!
I am passionate about cycling, and I want to help you discover a passion for it as well. If you want to ride a fundraising event, great let’s work on some bike handling and pack riding skills. If you want to do a better time at the granfondo let’s come up with the plan. I believe in a two way street with coaching. I have come up with my personal 5 coaching principals to demonstrate the way I like to work with people.
In 2016 I had a heart attack while doing the thing I love the most-riding my bike. At that point we had started the Red Devils Cycling Academy, but it was on a volunteer partime basis. That life altering experience made me realize I wanted to pursue being a coach. At the time it was not clear how that would come to be. Now, almost 3 years later I am involved in a variety of programs for Cycling BC, Axel Merckx Youth Development Foundation and help Cycling Canada with a talent ID camp. Everyday I am grateful for turning my passion into my lively hood as well. I do this beacsue I love it.
